Day 2 of winter Olympics

Today I watched the men's 5000m speed skating. Canada's D. Morrison was behind USA's Marsicano throughout the race. Marsicano ended up beating the Canadian by 3 seconds, although he was struggling to keep his pace for the last 2 laps. Though the commentators did say that Morrison did skate one of his better races, but then again, they are a little biased.

Afterwards, another speed skating race took place involving another Canadian, Makowsky. His adversary was New Zealand's Dobbin. They stayed toe-to-toe throughout the race which is good to see considering the last race. It should be noted that Dobbin has only been speed skating for 2 years now, and has never been to the Olympics, which is very impressive. Nearing the end of the race, Dobbin lost momentum and started to fall back until the race was out of reach for him. It ended with Makowsky beating him by 5 seconds.

Thats all for today... until tomorrow -Malik out
